Academic and Scientific Aspects

In the last 8 or 9 years, there has been a great deal of interest and contact from many countries around the world. This began with the use of the Banerji Protocols for the treatment of brain tumors , the details about which were published in the International Journal of Oncology. A number of patients suffering from this dreaded disease  found this paper on the internet and started using it and getting good results.

Drs. Banerji’s paper entitled 'Intracranial Cysticercosis: An effective treatment with alternative medicines' has been published in In Vivo of the International Institute of Anticancer Research. Volume 15, Issue No. 2, 2001.

PBHRF’s first study in collaboration with researchers at The MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States was published in the International Journal of Oncology, titled, 'Ruta 6 selectively induces cell death in brain cancer cells but proliferation in normal peripheral blood lymphocytes: A novel treatment of human brain cancer'.

Another in vitro study PBHRF conducted in collaboration with The MD Anderson Cancer Center in the USA was published this year in the International Journal of Oncology, entitled 'Cytotoxic effects of ultra-diluted remedies on breast cancer cells'.

Other than cancer, PBHRF has done work on other fearsome diseases such as chronic renal failure (CRF). On analysis of gathered data on cases at  the PBHRF clinics treated with the 'Banerji Protocols to Retard Progression of Chronic Renal Failure', Drs. Banerji have done a poster presentation with Dr. Barbara Sarter, PhD, RN, FNP-C, Associate Professor, Advanced Practice Programs, Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science, University of San Diego.

Another interesting study was conducted when Drs Banerji were invited to present a paper at the Rutgers University Symposium on Lunar Settlements in 2007, partly sponsored by NASA.  Drs Banerji presented a paper entitled,  'Possible use of Ultra-diluted medicines for health problems during lunar missions' wherein they pointed out that conventional medicines are probably not suitable for addressing health problems in lunar missions due to the fact that they are not utilized by the system properly in their optimum dose which is necessary in space.

The use of Baptisia tinctoria (indigo-weed), that is indigenous in Canada and the USA, in the treatment of infections of the ear, nose and throat as an alternative medicine, is well known. This extract has been widely used by homeopathic practitioners in the treatment of typhoid fever, which was originally observed as long back as 1872. Drs. Banerji’s paper entitled 'Efficacy of Baptisia Tinctoria in the Treatment of Typhoid: Its Possible Role in Inducing Antibody Formation' has been published in Journal of Complementary and Integrative Medicine.

Drs. Banerji have authored a book chapter on the use of the Banerji Protocols in the treatment of cancer: 'Treatment of Cancer with the Banerji Protocols' in A Compendium of Essays on Alternative Therapy.

Another paper by Drs. Banerji entitled 'Successful Treatment of Chronic Viral Hepatitis with High-dilution Medicine' has been published in the Global Advances in Health and Medicine.
