Launch of 'The Diaries of a Stubborn Homeopath'
The Hon'ble Governor of West Bengal, Shree Keshari Nath Tripathi, released the memoirs of Dr. Prasanta Banerji, 'The Diaries of a Stubborn Homeopath', at a beautiful function in a city hotel. The evening started with a short audio-visual that captures the essence of the memoirs. Co-host Mr. Sounak Chacraverti welcomed everyone with a short speech. Dr. Banerji's eldest grandchild, Ms. Bidisha Ghosal, who apart from being an award-winning journalist and the host for the evening, is also the editor of the book. She spoke about how the memoirs were written, and through that, revealed the touching relationship she shares with him. The book was then unveiled by the Hon'ble Governor, after which, noted scholar and theatre personality, Professor Ananda Lal, read out excerpts from the book that delighted the guests. The Governor, in his speech, spoke at length about the discoveries one can expect to make while reading about Dr. Banerji's life. The function ended with a short Vote of Thanks by Dr. Pratip Banerji, Dr. Prasanta Banerji's son.
The evening was subsequently wrapped with high-tea. Dr. Banerji made it a point to gift all his guests a copy of the book.
